A LIFETIME OF
PRACTICE. A GLOBAL
COMMUNITY.
Daniel Brasse Sensei is the founder and chief instructor of Aikido By the Bay in California. His Aikido journey spans more than three decades, including extensive periods of training in Iwama, Japan.
His practice has been deeply influenced by Morihiro Saito Sensei, Hitohiro Saito Sensei, Inagaki Sensei and other senior teachers, and by years devoted to the relationship between taijutsu, weapons and the principles underlying both.
Daniel has taught seminars and workshops in the United States, Australia, Switzerland, Mauritius and Brazil, sharing an approach grounded in traditional Iwama pedagogy while emphasizing clear principles, practical training and a deep respect for Aikido's heritage.
He welcomes opportunities to train and exchange with Aikido communities around the world.
Aikido connects us across cultures, languages and borders. On the mat we share the same purpose—to practice, to learn and to grow together.
