Local Hotels

Searching for hotels in San Mateo, Burlingame area is recommended. Hotels in both areas will put you very close to the seminar location.

SFO & Transportation

The UBER car service is quite reliable in the San Francisco Bay Area, they usually do the pick up from the departure areas at both domestic and international terminals.

Rental Cars

San Francisco International Airport's Rental Car Center allows travelers to pick up and drop off rental cars at one convenient, central location.

Getting to the Rental Car Center

To access the Rental Car Center from the airport terminals, take the AirTrain Blue Line. AirTrain, SFO's fully automated people mover system, operates 24 hours every day and provides frequent service throughout SFO. AirTrain stations are located in all terminals, terminal parking garages, the Rental Car Center and SFO's BART station.

Hotel Shuttles

Courtesy shuttles to participating airport-area hotels are located at the Hotel Courtesy Shuttle zones on the center island of the Departures/Ticketing Level roadway at all terminals. Phones to contact the hotels are available in the shelters at each zone. Please note: these shuttles service only participating airport-area hotels, and do not provide service to San Francisco or other regions of the Bay Area.

Local Restaurants

San Francisco is well known for its diversity in cuisine and great restaurants…

We are very fortunate to have excellent restaurants in San Mateo and Burlingame to satisfy everybody's taste in food.

If you are a Sushi enthusiast, Sushi Sam's Edomata located at 218 East 3rd Avenue, San Mateo is a must. It is even rumored to be a favorite place of Mark Zuckerberg's. I tried it for myself in April and it did not disappoint, and at a reasonable price!

The Attic Restaurant located art 234 S B St, San Mateo is another one of my favorite restaurants. It offers tasty Pilipino fusion food in a wonderful atmosphere.

If you are into Indian food, there is a variety of authentic Indian restaurants all around San Mateo, one of my favorites is Curry Up Now located at 129 S B St, San Mateo. It began as an Indian street-food truck has morphed into a group of fast-casual cafes offering "creative" "full-of-flavor", fusion-style eats, including kathi rolls, chicken tikka masala.

There is also the famous Espetus Churrascharia - located at 710 S B St San Mateo (basically behind Aikido By the Bay!). Famous Brazilian restaurant where they serve all-you-can-eat skewers of meat in an eye-catching setting.

All of these restaurants are walking distance from our dojo and less than 5 mins drive from the San Mateo High School. There are of course a lot more restaurants located in the San Mateo and Burlingame area.
