KIDS MARTIAL ARTS CLASSES
Through our specialized martial arts classes for children, we empower kids to build self-confidence that becomes evident in their everyday interactions with family, peers, and educators. More than learning essential self-defense techniques, they also learn respect, responsibility, and effective communication. These experiences foster emotional intelligence and core values that shape them into successful, responsible citizens and future leaders.
Recognizing the physical disadvantages children and smaller individuals face against larger, stronger adversaries, the founder of Aikido developed his martial art from Aiki Jiu Jitsu and other traditional Japanese martial arts to create Iwama Aikido. The refined techniques are designed for effectiveness with reduced reliance size or brute strength. Students learn to focus on timing, and efficiency; they also learn to leverage an attacker's aggression for self-protection. This approach enables them to confidently defend themselves, irrespective of their physical stature or the size of their opponent.
